Thanks very much to the 28 LOK members who helped make the event so successful. There was plenty of positive feedback from competitors about Paul Todd’s interesting courses, the map, the area and the organisation.

Urban orienteering requires a lot of permissions to be obtained. This was the first time we have staged a proper urban event in Hampstead Village and the Camden Events team were very helpful. We had good support as usual from the City of London for the Heath who made it part of their “Green to Gold” campaign. They kindly opened up the mixed pond toilets for our use. We were fortunate to be able to use several architecturally interesting housing estates and that involved much liaison with the residents and the management companies.

Special thanks to Vince Roper of SLOW who agreed to be our controller despite also being organiser of the London City race in September. He brought plenty of useful experience.

LOK will certainly aim to put another event on in Hampstead Village in the future.
